Bond set in residential burglary case

Bond was set at $10,000 for a Galesburg man on a residential burglary charge from earlier in the week.

19-year-old Sean M. Morss made a video appearance in Knox County Circuit Court on Wednesday where bond was set and a public defender was appointed.

According to Galesburg Police, officers responded to the burglary in the 1,000-block of Johnston Street on Tuesday afternoon at around 4:19.

Police learned that the back door had been kicked in and two video game systems were taken. Officers also learned that a suspicious vehicle was seen in the area.

A few hours later, officers located a vehicle matching that description. Police officers stopped the vehicle, made contact with the occupants, and observed items in the vehicle that matched the description of those taken.

Morss and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested after investigating.

Morse will be back in court on May 20th.
