Knoxville Opportunities to graduate first students

An alternative school that was created last year for Knoxville students struggling with the traditional classroom setting will be seeing their first graduates this year.

High School Principal Chad Bahnks told school board members Monday night that the Knoxville Opportunities program will graduate Nick Hunziker and Faithlynn Thomas.

Bahnks said that the alternative school operates at the students own pace and motivations.

He adds if the students aren’t motivated to do the homework, then they won’t do it.

Students enrolled in the program were able to stay in the district, instead of being bused to Galesburg to attend RAES.
