The Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development has created a new quarterly event series designed to provide high-quality local economic data and information to area decision makers. The event series is called Our Economy Update. Each luncheon will feature trends and analysis of the latest economic data on topics like employment, workforce, retail sales, housing, and others says KCAP President Ken Springer. “Everybody that attends will get the digital copy of the data presented to take back to your own board room or your own team meetings,” Springer said. “Right now, there is no other place to find this information in a concise and easy-to-understand format. We strongly encourage you to consider attending the Update.” In addition, KCAP will assemble an expert panel at each Update to speak on hot-button topics that affect our economy. This luncheon series will be of interest to business leaders, lenders, elected officials, real estate professionals and anyone else that needs to have a deeper understanding of trends in our area. The first Our Economy Update will be held on February 22nd at Soangetaha Country Club in Galesburg at 11:30 am. An expert panel will discuss the topic of Housing in Knox and Warren Counties.
