Bushnell man dead after icy road collision

UPDATE 2/4/19: An 86-year old Bushnell man is dead after being ejected from a pick-up truck Tuesday morning in a head-on collision. 

Ray Etter was driving an F-150 pickup truck that lost control on icy roads along Route 41 at 1700N, just south of Bushnell.

The truck’s passenger, 74-year old Dallas Campbell, was also ejected and sustained serious injuries.

They were traveling south and lost control, crossing the center line striking a northbound Ford Econoline Van.

The occupants of the van, 32-year old Steven Krull, 37-year-old Christopher Laktas and 65-year-old Steven Palmer, all of Bardolph were taken to McDonough District Hospital.

Palmer was later taken by life flight helicopter to OSF St. Francis in Peoria.
