Threat made to West Central School, juvenile arrested

A juvenile has been arrested after allegedly making a threat to West Central School in Henderson County.

In a release from the Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., Deputies arrested a juvenile in connection with a threat made over the school’s Thanksgiving break.

Deputies interviewed several witnesses and apparently found the threat credible and thus made the arrest.

The juvenile was charged with Disorderly Conduct-School Threat, which is a Class Four Felony and carries a sentence of one to four years in the Department of Corrections.

The news release indicated the juvenile was being housed at the Mary Davis Home in Galesburg.

No other information has been released as of Wednesday night.
