Galesburg Police investigated a “shots fired” call that was reported early Tuesday morning.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the 500-block of West Losey Street at around 12:13, where the complainant advised that she heard four bangs that she believed were gunshots coming from Jefferson Street.
The report indicates that another instance of bangs was observed near Circle K on North Henderson Street. No evidence of any shots being fired was found at either scene.
It was also noted in the police report, that officers observed bangs to be heard in the southern parking lot of Sandburg Mall, but it remains unknown if those were gunshots or fireworks.
