Small amount of meth seized in Wednesday arrest

Bond was set at $6,000 for a Galesburg man on meth possession charges.

42-year-old Dale A. Knajdek had a detention hearing in Knox County Circuit Court with Judge Raymond A. Cavanaugh, who set bond and appointed the public defender

According to reports, Knajdek had warrants out of Montrose County, Iowa which had prompted Galesburg police officers to locate him.

He was located driving a pickup truck and arrested at Taco Bell on North Henderson Street on Wednesday before noon. Officers were also advised that Knajdek had a revoked license from Hamilton, Illinois.

After locating a backpack in the truck, officers found a white chunky substance that would later test positive for methamphetmine. Also in the backpack were a bible and a composition notebook, both containing Knajdek’s name.

Knajdek has a bond reduction hearing scheduled for the 19th of September and a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 9th in his case.
