United States Postal Service looking for extra help

Heading into the holidays, the United States Postal Service expects they will need more help. Starting Monday and ending September 21st, you can apply for positions such as Casual Mail Handler, Holiday Clerk Assistant, or Postal Support Employee Mail Processing Clerk. All those jobs pay at least $16 an hour. USPS Field Recruiter Norma Taylor says to apply, just go to the website and search your state.

“All the information is on our website,” expresses Norma Taylor, “and there are jobs available throughout Illinois and some of the St. Louis, Missouri zip code ranges. The positions for the holiday help are temporary from Nov. 1st through Jan. 4th 2019 but there is a possibility of coming back.”

You must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment, or 16 with a high school diploma; be a U.S. citizen; be able to pass a background check and drug screening; and jobs that require driving require a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license. For more information, go to USPS dot COM slash Careers.
