F&M Bank new location now open.

If you drive or travel down Veterans Drive or Knox Square Drive in Galesburg, you’ll notice the new branch of F&M Bank is now open for business. The new location held a soft opening last week, but has been featuring grand-opening festivities all this week. The brand new, modern building still features the common amenities of a traditional bank: a drive through, a 24-hour ATM, and a pair of offices with personal bankers, but it’s also equipped with new modern tech. Instead of traditional tellers, the new branch has “cash recyclers” – that’s according to Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Rhonda Houzenga. The “recylcers” are teller pods with machines that count money for you. The bank also has an Ipad station where online and mobile banking can be done and demonstrated for you. The lobby is equipped with phone charging stations, a fireplace, and a hospitality station with coffee and water. With the exception of safe deposit boxes, all the same services are available at the new location. The first 100 customers Wednesday, August 29th will receive an F&M Bank commemorative coin. Thursday, August 30th will be a ribbon cutting with the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce at 5:00 pm. Friday, August 31st the branch will host a free tailgate lunch for the upcoming Silver Streak football home opener. In honor of the naming and announcement of the F&M Bank Stadium at Galesburg High School before the game, bank officials will also be handing out give-a-ways, gift cards, and gift baskets to Streaks fans.
