Galesburg City Council will meet in a work session tonight to continue work on the city’s comprehensive plan.
Early in August Alderman saw a final draft of the master plan for parks and recreation, but this comprehensive plan is what Houseal Lavinge calls a “blueprint for the future.”
Houseal Lavigne is the planning firm that’s been helping mine the community for resident input and create the plan.
The plan will have goals and objectives for development and a strategy on achieving those goals over the course of two decades.
Council will meet in the Erickson Conference Room at City Hall tonight at 5:30 p.m. to review the latest development in the plan that should be nearing completion.
