An unknown number of people have been involved in a fatal traffic collision that occurred Sunday afternoon in Henry County.
According to the Illinois State Police, a gray 2015 Jeep and a gray 2014 Dodge Ram pick-up truck collided head-on about one mile north of Orion.
The Jeep was heading south while the pick-up truck was heading north. The press release did not give a reason for why they struck each other.
Traffic was rerouted while first responders were on the scene. Assisting were Orion Fire Department, Orion Ambulance, and Henry County Sheriff’s Department.
The state police’s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit processed the scene.
