Jimmy’s Pizza, a restaurant that was much loved in Wataga for decades, is planning on locating in Downtown Galesburg.According to Galesburg City Council documents they are working on leasing and renovating 379 East Tompkins Street.
Aldermen will vote Monday on a loan guarantee of about $85,000 over a 36 month period and also about $31,000 in Tax Increment Financing dollars.
WGIL will has reached out to owners Jim and Debby McCormick and are expecting comment from them Tuesday, after the council meeting.
Jimmy’s Pizza opened in Wataga in 1984.
