Porter Hay Insurance has announced that they have bought an agency in Oquawka that’s been established for over 30 years.
The agency will offices across Knox, Warren and Henderson counties is taking James Insurance Agency, as their founder prepares for retirement.
James Insurance was started by Ronald L. James in 1985 but he says starting to “slow down” and is beginning the retirement process.
He thanks his customers and assures them that Porter-Hay is an “excellent agency” that will continue to provide “superior service”.
Porter-Hay President Chad Morse says that the James Agency is a “great fit” with the communities they already serve with offices in Galesburg, Galva, Monmouth, Alexis and Oquawka.
Also three staff members will be joining the Porter-Hay team.
Porter-Hay is a subsidiary of Midwest Bank that offers personal, farm, business, life and health insurance.
