Peck makes first appearance in court

A man accused of 16 felony possession and reproduction of child pornography charges made his first appearance in Knox County Circuit Court Wednesday morning.

29-year-old William A. Peck Jr. made his first appearance with Public Defender Daniel O’Brien before Judge Raymond A. Cavanaugh.

Peck is charged with 12 Class X felony counts of possession child pornography with a victim under the age of 13, as well a single count of Class X reproduction of child pornography with a victim under the age of 13, and three counts of Class 2 felony possession of child pornography with a victim under the age of 13.

He was arrested on March 24th after a search warrant was executed on his residence at 390 Justin Drive in Galesburg.

He remains in custody at the Knox County Jail and is due back in court for a preliminary hearing at 2:00 p.m. on June 18th.
