ROWVA hires Adam Seaney as junior high/high school principal

ROWVA will have a new principal at their high school and junior high next year.The District 208 Board of Education has approved the hiring of Adam Seaney to fill the role.

Seaney has been the assistant principal at Parkside Elementary in Lawrenceville, Illinois, a small town on the state’s southeast border to Indiana.

There he has responsibilities including student discipline, attendance, supervision and evaluation of staff and has been working there since 2015.

Seaney earned a Bachelor’s in Physical Education and Health from Olivet Nazarene University and later a Master’s in Education Leadership and Administration from Eastern Illinois University.

His resume is full of different roles in education that he’s played like acting as an instructional aide, a high school teacher, but particular in the field of sports he’s coached baseball, football, track and taught P.E. and health.

Seaney writes in a released statement that his hiring is a “true blessing” and he’s excited to become a part of the ROWVA family.

Seaney has two young children and says that he also looks forward to the “excellent learning opportunities” they will have in the district.

Current principal, Joe Peters will go back into the classroom in ROWVA next year.
