GHS student tested positive for tuberculosis, health department urges students get tested

The Knox County Health Department has confirmed that a student who attends Galesburg High School has tested positive for Pulmonary Tuberculosis known more commonly as TB.Students who were potentially exposed to the disease have been notified by GHS staff members.

There will be TB tests available at OSF Prompt Care at 3375 Seminary St. Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

OSF says that the emergency room at St. Mary WILL NOT have the TB test.

They urge GHS students and staff to go to Prompt Care tomorrow or contact the Knox County Health Department on Monday.
