Waitress recieves 2-$1,000 tips

An Oklahoma waitress was shocked when one of her customers left her not one, but two $1-thousand tips. Brenda Pearson had been waiting tables at the 4 Star Diner when truck driver David Platt came in to order a cheeseburger to go. He and Brenda got to talking and had a pretty good conversation about faith and her children. When it was time for him to pay up, Platt told her he wanted to leave a $1-thousand tip. Pearson says she was so shocked she could hardly breathe. “We talked about the Lord and about her life and her children,” Platt says. “I got the impression that she was having a hard time of it, so I thought I’d just help her out a little bit.” An hour later, Platt turned up again and to order a slice of pie and left her another $1-thousand tip. He says, “Money is just paper or numbers on a screen… people are what’s important.” Pearson plans to use the money to catch up on bills and to help take care of her family.
