A shots fired call brought Galesburg Police officers to Willard Street at about 11:30 Thursday night.
Officers were dispatched to the 1700-block of Willard were they found four spent shell casings in the front yard of a home.
According to police reports, the resident of the home was uncooperative and irate with officers for being there.
A witness told officers he was woken up when he heard gunshots. He said he looked out the window and observed four subjects running out the back of the residence that officers found the shells.
He also told officers that a red, four-door sedan pulled out of the driveway and departed at a high rate of speed. He believed it was a Toyota of some type.
No arrests were made in the case as of 9:30 Friday morning.
