Galva Arts Council announces lineup for summer music series

The Galva Arts Council has announced the line up of musical acts that will play Wiley Park this summer as a part of a 10-week concert series.

The Arts Council had already announced they received a grant from the Levitt Foundation, that aims to help communities transform underused public spaces into places where people can come together and enjoy live music.

Now they have a list of national and international artists of a wide variety of genres that will play on Sunday nights running from May 27 to Aug. 5

Some of the genres represented will be folk, country, blues, hip-hop, soul, Mexican folk and rock.

New Age Outlaw group The Giving Tree Band and folk artist John Till will kick things off.

Blues singer and guitarist Samantha Fish will take the stage on July 29. She’s played in Galesburg at Fat Fish Pub.

Some other highlights include Mike and the Moonpies, Sophistafunk and The Right Now.
