$1M bond in first-degree murder trial

After being denied bond for more than a month, a Monmouth man’s bail has been set for one-million dollars with $100,000 needed to get out of jail.

Following a scheduled bond hearing that involved testimony from several character witnesses, Circuit Judge James R. Standard set bond for 34-year-old Drew Pearman on Wedensday in Warren County Circuit Court.

Pearman is facing five counts of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 27-year-old Zackery D. Tally that occurred on December 24th.

The Review Atlas reports that testimony revolved around Pearman’s demeanor, with the common belief that he was “a peaceful and reasonable person.”

As part of his bail he will have to hand over his passport, and be placed on house arrest where he’ll have to wear an ankle monitor among other things.
