Galesburg woman arrested on meth possession

One woman has been charged with possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop in Galesburg.

Early on Monday morning, officers pulled over a black 2004 Honda Civic after it was discovered that the driver, 31-year-old Caitlin A.S. Potts, had a revoked license.

She was arrested and her vehicle was searched and inventoried so it could be impounded.

According to police reports, it was at that time officers allegedly found a dark colored baggie containing less than half a gram of what would later field test positive for meth.

Additionally, officers allegedly found a gram of marijuana, and two glass bowls for smoking.

She was taken to the Knox County Jail and booked on a Class A Misdemeanor charge of Driving on a Revoked License, and a Class 3 Felony of Meth Possession under five grams.
