Accused murderer waives preliminary hearing

A 34-year-old Monmouth man accused of shooting and killing 27-year-old Zachery D. Talley on Christmas Eve was in Warren County Circuit Court Tuesday.

Drew M. Pearman made an appearance in custody with Public Defender Thomas Siegel before Judge Patricia Walton where he waived his preliminary hearing.

According to court documents, Siegel requested a continuance on Pearman’s bail hearing and arraignment, which was approved and scheduled for February 6th.

He has been charged with five counts of first degree murder, which has a sentencing range of 20 to 60 years in prison according to Warren County State’s Attorney, Andrew J. Doyle.

Bail has been denied in the case, and Pearman remains in custody.
