Upside-Down Christmas Trees Are The Latest Trend

Pineapple Jack O’ Lanterns were all the rage this fall, and this winter, the traditional Christmas tree is getting turned on its head – literally. Upside- down Christmas trees are popping up all over social media and the trend isn’t exclusive to high-end hotels and shopping malls, either. You can buy your own upside-down tree at places like Target, Walmart and Home Depot.

The Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego has a huge upside-down tree in their lobby, Claridge’s Hotel has an upside-down tree dripping with crystals designed by Karl Lagerfeld in its London lobby, and Westfield San Francisco shopping center and movie theater has a hanging upside-down tree that’s making quite an impact on social media, as well.

Fans of the trend say the tree is not only unique looking, but it showcases ornaments better because they don’t get hidden in the branches. Plus, if you’re a Stranger Things fan, then you know there’s no other tree to put up than an upside-down one.

If you’re interested in putting up your own version of this trend, Target’s 7.5-foot unlit, upside-down tree will set you back about $1000, but you can get a less expensive version (under $300) at Home Depot or Sears. (Cosmo)
