GHS Silver Streaks beat Glenbard South 40-29

Here is a recap of the game from WGIL’s Brad Bennewitz:

“After falling behind 16 -7 in the first quarter on a long touchdown pass that ended the period Galesburg rallied and held off Glenbard South 40-29 to improve their record 1-1 on the season. Koby Ramirez had a big day rushing for 137 yard and 4 touchdowns to lead the Silver Streaks. Jacob Carl was our Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game, he had a huge reception that set up the Silver Streaks touchdown that gave them the lead and then had some big defensive plays including a sack that ended the game on the Glenbard Quarterback,l Jack Crouch. Crouch also had an impressive game throwing for 336 yards and 4 touchdowns passes but the Silver Streaks held them off and over came that to improve their record to 1-1. Galesburg sophomores were also victorious in a continuous clock game winning 46-12 to improve their record 1-1 as well. Galesburg will have next Friday night off but not Saturday as they will make a long road trip down to take on an inner city school in St. Louis, Sumner High School. We will have that broadcast next Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for our pregame and 1:00 p.m. for the kickoff. Meantime Silver Streaks enjoy the first victory of the season  40-29 in their first ever meeting over Glenbard South.”
