Prairie Players Plan Patio of Fame

For over 100 years the Prairie Players have brought entertainment productions to the Galesburg area. Over 300 productions have been put on in the past 55-plus years. In an effort to show community support, assist in renovating, and memorialize performers and performances of the past, Prairie Players are planning a Patio of Fame. Board member Judy Diemer wants the legacies of favorite shows and talents to live on. Engraved pavers remembering those from the past will line the front of the South Seminary Street studio. Supporters as well as former and present Prairie members can purchase an engraved paver to memorialize a name, act, or event from the past. According to Program Administrator Tristan Tapscott, these pavers will assist in completing renovations to the building – which will include an outdoor event space and exterior landscaping. The hope is that the studio will also be available for private rentals, attractions, and special events. For more information, patrons can visit prairie players dot COM.
