Beginning July 1st, if you want to play the Powerball or Mega Millions games you’ll need to go elsewhere to purchase tickets. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Illinois’ financial situation was the reason the Multi-State Lottery Association decided to drop Illinois’ participation in the games.
