Hinchliff-Pearson-West owners sell business to longtime employees

In what has now become a long-standing tradition, the three owners of Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors have sold the business to a trio of longtime employees.
Owners David Pearson, George Peterson and Wayne Hull announced yesterday they are turning the keys over to Alan Palmer, Todd Ettinger and Carrie Walter.

Walters, Ettinger and Palmer have combined over 70 years of experience at HPW and are all licensed funeral directors and embalmers.

A press release says that the funeral home can trace its roots back well over 100 years.

Pearson, Peterson and Hull purchased the business from Jack Hinchcliff and Richard Pearson in 1988.

Hinchcliff and Pearson bought it from Jack’s father before joining Chan West.

The release says that everyone in the business thought it best if it continued to be locally owned and operated.

The transition began to take place on Mar. 1, as Peterson, Hull and Pearson work with the new owners to maintain continuity.
