Ownership at Cherry Street Restaurant and Bar has changed hands.
Michelle Kim entered into a contract and took ownership from Stan and Lou Devlin on Jan. 30.
Kim’s husband Travis Peterson will serve as the general manager, bringing with him 15 years experience in the food and beverage industry.
Peterson will handle day to day operations.
Kim’s part will involve branding, community relations, philanthropy and social media, something she says she has a background in.
She will continue as a Resource Development Manager with the Knox County Housing Authority and part-time merchandiser for Chloe and Isabel.
No big immediate changes are planned.
Kim says there’s no need since Cherry Street has been a “steady, successful business.”
However she says there are plans to update the brand with “fresh marketing, new food and beverage features and a more contemporary image.”
