As Snow leaves the area, Temperatures plummet

The National Weather Service in Illinois has reported that most of the Knox county area has received 1 – 2 inches of snow accumulation from yesterdays Storm front that plagued the Midwest. But as the storm moves past us, headed east, the fridged temperatures have swooped in take take its place. The National Weather Service has already issued a Wind Chill Advisory in effect until to noon today and right fully so. With only a High of 0 degrees reported for the day and Wind Chill Temps bouncing between -25 and -30, the bitter cold has had impact on many local activities. Some of these include: Abingdon Church of God, Community of Christ Church, Faith United Methodist Church, Rio Presbyterian Church, Community Bible Church, and many more have all cancelled services and activities due to the cold weather.
