The Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce has announced a new executive director.
Jessica Linder, a native of Morton, will begin her first day with the chamber on August 10th. She replaces former director Steven Brody who was fired for undisclosed reasons in October of 2015.
Linder holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Leadership from DePaul University where she served as President of the DePaul Meeting Professionals International and was a member of the DePaul Hospitality Finance and Technology Professionals.
The Morton native is currently completing her post graduate degree at Illinois State University and she works in senior management with the Hilton Corporation.
A chamber news release says Linder’s experience researching and working with tourism policy and economic impact will help to “strengthen” the chamber’s programming.
