Three released from hospital after last month’s Galesburg shooting

The three men hospitalized last month after a Galesburg shooting have been released from OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Galesburg police Capt. Rod Riggs says 24-year-old Andrew White III of Galesburg checked himself out of the hospital. White is wanted on warrants not related to the shooting. His whereabouts are unknown.

Both 27-year-old Maurice V. Chester-Williams of Chicago and 22-year-old Eric D. Robinson of Galesburg have been released from the Peoria hospital.

A Galesburg police news release identified all three as apparent victims in the May 22 shooting. They were at an after-hours party on East South Street with between 20 and 100 people when the shooting started.

Police are seeking information about White’s location.

Aside from White’s unrelated warrant, Riggs says there are no charges against the three men at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
