Flunk Day is today at Knox College

After a wet start at 6 a.m. today, Flunk Day is well underway at Knox College.

That means classes are canceled and the campus is packed with students of varying levels of sobriety singing karaoke, riding ziplines, running inflatable obstacle courses and enjoying what may be the best day off a liberal arts education can buy.

To celebrate the theme, Night of the Living Flunk, students were given bags that held plastic, fillable brains with a straws sticking out.

The day is broken into phases that swap out inflatable bounce houses, games and food.

The last event, scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m., is described as a “GlowRage ultimate paint party experience.”

Flunk Day is a century-old tradition at Knox and, like every year, the exact day of the celebration was secret until the announcement this morning.
