Police arrest East Galesburg man on meth charges

An East Galesburg man is held on $200,000 bond after a meth investigation led to his arrest Monday for a series of possession and manufacturing charges.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says in a news release officers executed a “no knock” search warrant at about 5 a.m. Monday and took 41-year-old Dallas L. Charles into custody.

Officers recovered items consistent with the manufacturing of meth in addition to a substance that field tested as crystal meth.

Charles is charged with production and possession of 15 to 100 grams of meth, possession of meth manufacturing materials and other meth-related charges.

His next court date is at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
