The District 205 School Board will vote Monday at a special meeting to release administrator Tammie Bolden.

Bolden currently serves as Director of Curriculum, a position that had been cut by the board in February amid the district’s budget reduction process.

Superintendent Ralph Grimm says the board will now vote on releasing Bolden in her position as Director of Bright Futures Pre-School.

Grimm confirmed the position itself isn’t being cut, but Bolden in the role is.

Bolden came to the district in 2014. She previously served as Principal at Grant Middle School in Springfield. Prior to that, she was a public school teacher in Dallas, Texas.

When hired, Bolden took over for then Superintendent Bart Arthur who was handling curriculum duties as well as those of superintendent.

If Bolden’s release is approved she would be the only administrator to lose her job in the district’s round of cuts, although a position at the high school was lost by attrition with the resignation of Principal Roy Van Meter.

Calls to Bolden were not immediately returned.

The board will additionally vote on 8 other RIF’s Monday, including seven coaches and one teacher.
