Label Shopper pulls out of Sandburg Mall

Discount clothing store Label Shopper has closed its doors at the Sandburg Mall.

Management confirmed that the Galesburg location was closing due to a “lack of support,” though they would not elaborate.

Inventory will reportedly be shipped to a new location opening up in an out of state location. The closest store to Galesburg is in Canton, which management says will handle returns and exchanges from this point on.

The location at the mall opened November of 2013. Prior to that, the space was occupied by Kleine Equipment and Galesburg Nissan. Label Shopper officially closed last Thursday.

According to their website, the company has 80 locations throughout the U.S., primarily in the midwest and on the east coast.

This is not the first business to leave Sandburg Mall in recent years. Kirlin’s Hallmark, Regis hair salon and former anchor store Sears all closed in 2014.
