Winter Storm Jonas knocked the box office off its game this weekend. The blizzard hit a third of the country this weekend and brought down overall ticket sales as much as 10%. Appropriately, the snowy Revenant came out on top earning $15.9 million. Star Wars: The Force Awakens hung on to the second spot earning $14 million while Ride Along 2 slipped to number three with $12 million. Despite universally awful reviews, Dirty Grandpa starring Robert DeNiro opened in fourth place with nearly $11.5 million and The Boy opened in fifth with $10 million.
